Acadiana Village – Thirteen partners volunteered for 56 hours handing out cups, chalk, and rulers to the kids at Acadiana Village. Also, they helped out with the concession stand and Santa photo booth.

Spirit of Christmas Food Drive – Three partners fixed bags for the Spirit of Christmas food drive that benefited the Knights of Columbus for five hours.

St. Francis Dinner – Four partners served food at the local diner for the homeless for four hours.

Cooking for NISH – Six partners volunteered to cook and serve NISH staff for 18 hours. Also, they handed out footballs and megaphones.

Cooking for NISH – Ten partners served jambalaya to the Nish staff. They presented a check for $1,000 for Cash 4 My High School and they passed out megaphones and footballs to fans.

Gumbo Cook-Off – Twenty-eight partners participated in the annual Gumbo Cook-Off. They helped prep items and cooked seafood stuffed baked potatoes. In the Youth Challenge Gumbo Cook-Off they won 1st place. Partners volunteered over 300 hours.

Football Game – Three partners volunteered for five hours at Lloyd Porter Stadium. They cooked and served food the NISH teachers.

Dragon Races – Fourteen partners were involved in a hamburger cook-off and then cooked chicken burgers to sell. This event was held in downtown New Iberia and benefits On Tap. Partners volunteered for 93 hours.

Reading to Adopted School – Four partners volunteered for four hours to read to pre K and Kindergarten students at Park Street Elementary. They read books about Christmas traditions and brought food according to the book they were reading.

Back to School Bash – Ten partners volunteered for 52 hours with a Back to School Bash for students returning to school. The event was in front of the store and the local fire department and police department helped with events. All money raised will be use to buy school supplies for local children.

New Iberia Gumbo Cook-Off – Employees sold more than 200 seafood stuffed potatoes and 200 quarts of gumbo at their booth at the New Iberia Gumbo Cook-Off. Profits went to the store’s adopt-a-school.
