Lightening of Village – The official lightening of the historic Le Vieux Village is a favorite holiday activity of children and adults and offers a family friendly environment. Eleven partners volunteered for 39 hours.

PoBoy Benefit – All proceeds went towards helping the homeless at New Life Center. The center provides emergency and transitional housing for homeless and support services for the homeless. Partners volunteered for five hours.

Safe Halloween – Fifteen partners volunteered for 44 hours to provide a safe Halloween for children. Super 1 Foods worked with the City of Opelousas as Opelousas Tourism hosted this event.

Soire’ Royale – Annual chefs’ cook off and wine tasting to benefit Opelousas-St. Landry Chamber of Commerce. Top chefs from around the state prepared over 40 signature dishes. Partners volunteered 15 hours to assist with the prizes given in eight categories.

Tailgate Party – Both Super 1 Foods locations hosted a tailgate party at the University of Louisiana in the parking lot. They gave out samples of food, threw out Super 1 footballs and had a great time.

Miles Perret Canter Games of Acadiana – Games of Acadiana was held in the Cajundome and helps raise money for Miles Perret Canter Hospital. The money that was raised was donated to the cancer center. Partners donated many hours to assist with the games.

Leap Test – Partners adopted Park Vista Elementary School for the year and the students that passed the Leap Test were given two hours of activities to participate in. They provided snow cones for the students and assisted with games.
