Answer: When looking at the nutritional profile of an avocado you notice that they are fairly high in calories. This is due to their fat content; they are not high in saturated fat. Avocado are high in unsaturated fat that is often referred to as “good” fat; with that said, do not go crazy eating avocados because fat is still fat and should be eaten in moderation. Avocados are also high in fiber, folate, Vitamin C and Vitamin K.

Question: Summer is ending soon, how can I freeze my fruit?

 

Answer: Clean the fruit up by washing it and trimming anything that needs to be removed. Place the cleaned fruit onto a cookie sheet, spreading fruit out so it can freeze individually. Place cookie sheet into freezer for 2 hours or until frozen. Remove the cookie sheet from the freezer and place the fruit into freezer zip top bags and store for up to 6 months.
