Actually, it makes sense.

 

The fun part about cookie projects happens after the cookies are baked and cooled. Then you can decorate them, make them into bigger things, or eat them!

  • Make pudding or ice cream sandwiches with flat cookies (sugar cookie, oatmeal raisin, gingerbread).
  • Crumble crunchy cookies over yogurt or ice cream parfaits.
  • Use crisp cookies as a crumb base for pie crusts.
  • Top an apple crisp with crumbled soft cookies.
  • Use cookies as a topping for baked beans.
  • Decorate sugar cookies or gingerbread people with any party theme, or make it a party project.
  • Write special messages on cookies with icing. Use them as clues for a scavenger hunt!
  • Make a cookie pizza. Use cookies as crust and then ice it with cream cheese or whipped topping, and top with fruit, candy or cereal.
  • Dip cookies in melted white or dark chocolate, and then add sprinkles.
  • Take two crispy cookies, spread peanut butter in the middle and then dip the whole thing in chocolate.

Egg Yolk Paint

 

Ingredients:

1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp water
food coloring

 

Directions:

Mix egg yolk with water, then add food coloring until intense color is reached. Use a paint brush to paint on pre-baked cookies.

 

After painting, heat cookies in the oven until egg paint has solidified.
