Breakfast
Starting off the day with a good breakfast will help you feel better through out the day. When eating breakfast, do not pick sugary foods but look for a more fiber rich food.
Cereals are a good example of a breakfast food that could be high in fiber. If you find a cereal with over 5 grams of fiber, you have picked a good cereal. As a diabetic, you know that fiber is very important in your diet, therefore it is important to start your day out correctly.
If you eat a sugary breakfast you are going to feel it the rest of the day. If cereal is just to plain for you, you can add blueberries, sliced strawberries or raspberries.
Cereal is more than just a breakfast item. Cereal makes a great snack for during the day; just put a 1/2 of cup to a cup of cereal in a zip top bag. Cereal can also substitute for bread crumbs, by crushing the cereal and just covering your meat with crushed cereal.
