Brookshire’s Manufacturing Captures 2010 Awards
BGC’s manufacturing team won the Quality Assurance-Best Ice Cream Plant and Quality Assurance-Best Yogurt Plant awards from the All Star Dairy Association and accepted the awards March 24 at the ASDA’s convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The ASDA reviewed some 250 dairy and ice cream plants in 45 states, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. BGC manufacturing excelled in the association’s plant inspections, sensory evaluation of products and laboratory tests.
“It says a great deal about our standards and product quality,” said BGC President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Rayford. “Our ice cream and yogurt products are world class, and the same goes for our people who produce these items day in and day out. Congratulations to all our manufacturing employees for a job well done this year.”
