Caring for a Boston fern It's not that hard!

 

 

Boston ferns are a continual favorite house plant. They're beautiful, traditional and relatively easy to grow. Even if you have a brown thumb, knowing the basics can help you have gorgeous ferns:

• The best light is indirect or bright diffused light.

 

• Keep the soil moderately moist. Water thoroughly when just the soil surface is dry to the touch. Do not allow plants to stand in water.

 

• Boston ferns love moist air.  Bright, dry conditions cause yellowing and browning of the fronds.

 

• Watch for scale and mealy bugs and place your fern out of traffic areas since a frond will not grow back once it is broken.
