Crayon Cake

Crayon CakeIngredients:

1 8x8-in. pan brownies

1 3/4 cup white icing

food coloring: red, green, blue, yellow

black tube icing

 

Directions:

Remove brownies from pan. Cut the brownies into 2 halves. With one halve, cut the end to a point, and then join the pointed side’s straight end to the end of the other half of the brownie to make the body of the crayon. Divide the icing, 1 cup in one bowl and 3/4 cup in the other bowl.

 

In the bowl with the 1cup icing, place a few drops of food coloring until desire color. In the bowl with 3/4 cup icing, add a few more drops than the 1 cup of icing for a darker color. With the darker icing frost the tip and the next 1 inch of brownies. Then frost the last inch of the brownies. With the lighter icing, ice the remainder of the brownies.  With the tube icing make 2 wavy lines about an inch from where the lighter color starts on each end. You can write your child’s name in the middle
