Eating Fiber for Better Health

Eating foods that are high in fiber not only keep your intestinal track healthy, but it also lowers your risk of diabetes and heart disease.  Fiber is an important element in a weight loss regiments because fiber helps you feel full longer. Fiber cannot be broken down by human enzymes, but soluble fiber can be broken down by bacteria in your intestine. Some foods that are high in fiber are fruits, vegetables, beans, oats, barley, and whole grains.
