Do you use fabric softener sheets at laundry time? They do a great job of eliminating static cling and making clothes soft and fresh. But there’s a lot more that you can do with those handy little sheets.
- Eliminate odors in wastebaskets with a sheet at the bottom of the wastebasket.
- Collect loose pet hair. Rubbing the area with a fabric softener sheet will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
- Wipe mini blinds with a fabric softener sheet to eliminate static electricity and to prevent dust from resetting.
- Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet in your shoes or sneakers overnight so they'll smell great in the morning.
- A used fabric softener sheet dissolves soap scum from shower doors.
- Place an individual sheet in a drawer or hang one in the closet to keep things smelling fresh.
- Fabric softener sheets eliminate static electricity from your television screen. Since it’s designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet to keep dust from resettling.
- Prevent musty suitcases by placing an individual sheet inside empty luggage before storing.
- Run a threaded needle through a sheet to eliminate the static cling on the thread before sewing.
- To eliminate static cling between dresses and nylons, rub a damp, used fabric softener sheet over the pantyhose.
- Freshen the air in your car by putting a fabric softener sheet under the front seat.
- Clean baked-on food from a cooking pan! Put a sheet of fabric softener in the pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agents apparently weaken the bond between the food and the pan while the fabric softening agents soften the baked-on food.
