Fire Safety

Fire Safety If you have small children in your house it is very important to talk to them about fire safety. Even children as young as two should be taught the hazards of fires.

For the safety of your family, change the batteries in your smoke detector every year and replace your smoke detectors every 10 years.

Make sure that you have smoke detectors on every level of your house and near bedrooms. This will ensure if a fire accords in the night that everyone will be able to hear the alarm and escape safely. Make a fire escape plan with you family and designate a safe place to meet, like the mailbox, in case of a fire.
