When you think about saving the environment, it may sound like a pretty daunting task. How can one person make a difference, you may ask. While it's noble to take on corporate greed, it's just as important to take small steps in your corner of the world, to help add to the growing number of people who are indeed changing the world.
Here are some simple ways you can recycle and reuse in the kitchen:
- When grocery shopping, use cloth shopping bags. Keep them in the car so you don’t forget.
- Use cloth dish cloths instead of paper towels.
- Instead of plastic baggies and foil, try re-usable plastic containers.
- Always run the dishwasher with a full load.
- Find out about the joys of vinegar as a household all-purpose cleaner
- Put a pitcher of water in the fridge and use it instead of bottled water.
- Make your own 100-calorie snacks by portioning out larger containers.
