Instantly Healthier

Instantly Healthier Funny how tomorrow is always the best day to start exercising, eat healthier or put down the cigarettes. Well, here are a few things you can do today to improve your health. You don’t have to buy an expensive gym membership or become a vegetarian to reap the benefits of these changes.

Drink water instead of soda or juice. Not everyone drinks water the same way. Find how you like it best: ice cold or room temperature; in a bottle, jug or glass; flavored or plain. When you find what you like, stick with it! You’ll notice a change in your skin, too.

Breathe deeply for five minutes. Doing this could lower your blood pressure. Try it before a big presentation or meeting you’re not looking forward to. It reduces stress when done on a consistent basis.

Rearrange your pantry. Put the processed foods up top or way in the back. Place the whole grains, healthy snacks and canned veggies at eye level. This will help you to make better choices when you’re in the mood for a quick snack. It also works in the fridge, too.

Walk a little more. Park farther away from the door and take the stairs. It’s not a power walk, but it’s more exercise than you’re getting by parking at the door and riding the elevator. This is a great way to ease into fitness without trying to run a marathon.
