Let's Get Baking!Let’s get something straight—cooking and baking are two completely different arts!

 

When cooking, you’re allowed to add a pinch of this, a dash of that and completely omit things you don’t like. Baking, however, is an exact science. You must follow the recipe or your finished product won’t come out right.

 

Here are a few tips for baking great cookies!

 

 

  • Be precise when measuring ingredients.
  • Use dry measuring cups for dry ingredients and liquid measuring cups for liquid ingredients.
  • Use cookie sheets. Not the dark-colored baking sheets with a rim. Cookie sheets are flat, without edges.
  • Follow the recipe exactly. One cup of butter, melted is very different than 1 cup of melted butter!
  • Cool hot cookie sheets before adding another batch.
