March is Frozen Food Month!March is National Frozen Foods Month, and that means that bargain hunters can expect special deals when it comes to frozen items. But while March may be a special focus, all 12 months feature great deals in cold items.

Our Quick Affordable Dinner for March takes advantage of frozen items. You can put breakfast on the table for less than $2.50 a serving with our Skillet Breakfast and a Smoothie. And since everyone loves breakfast for dinner, you can also have this for supper—or lunch!

It's simple. Here's what you'll need:

Ingredients:

Frozen hash brown potatoes

Frozen chopped onion-pepper mix

Vegetable oil

Frozen sausage patties

Frozen Texas Toast

Frozen strawberries

Frozen orange juice concentrate

1 (6 oz) container yogurt, optional

Directions:

In a  skillet brown the frozen hash browns and onion-pepper mix in a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir and break up as the veggies thaw, and when soft, let them cook undisturbed to form a crunchy crust. Turn and brown the rest. When potatoes are crispy, push to the side of the skillet and add two frozen sausage links. Brown and cook fully. Remove to a plate. Add the Texas Toast to the pan and brown to heat throughout.

To make the smoothie, place a cup of strawberries in the blender and half a cup of orange juice concentrate. Blend thoroughly and add a cup of yogurt if you like a creamier smoothie. Berries and juice may also be served individually.
