More than Baking Soda

More than Baking SodaWe all know a box of baking soda can help keep the fridge smelling fresh, but here are some other great cleaning ideas for baking soda that are just as handy! You can:

            • Make a paste of 2 tablespoons baking soda and 1 teaspoon water and scrub gunk out of a can opener with an old toothbrush.

            • Clean stained coffee mugs by filling with 1 part baking soda and 2 parts water. Let it sit overnight then rub with a sponge and rinse.

  • Remove odors from upholstered furniture by sprinkling baking soda on the fabric then vacuum it up.
  • Clean crayon marks off white walls with a baking soda paste (equal parts baking soda and water). The paste might dull colored walls.
  • Clean the Statue of Liberty, like they did on her centennial in 1986!
