Thanksgiving Dinner – Partners from Super 1 volunteered to serve as waiters at Taste and Sea Restaurant to feed the elderly Thanksgiving Dinner.

Southern Soul Food Showdown – Event was held in Grand Marais, La and all proceeds were donated to Grand Marais Gras Association. Partners volunteered over 75 hours for this event.

October 8 – 10, 2011

Chamber of Commerce Gumbo Cook Off – Partners formed a team and competed in the gumbo cook off all day Saturday and Sunday. They got first place in their division.

September 23, 2011

4-H Sugar Cookery Contest – Partners judged the contest to see who had the best sweets in all of Iberia parish.

National Guard Welcome Home Party – Partners checked in soldiers and their families for the welcome home party.

Harley Davidson Chili Cook Off – Partners took 1st place in the annual Harley Davison Chili Cook Off.  This event benefits the American Heart Association.

Tailgate Party – Both Super 1 locations in Lafayette hosted a tailgate party at the University of Louisiana in the parking lot. They gave out samples of food, threw out Super 1 footballs and had a great time.

MDA Telethon – Partners donated their time to assist with the phone bank taking donations and presented a check to them.

Miles Perret Canter Games of Acadiana – Partners donated many hours to help raise money to help support families fighting cancer in the Acadiana area.

Employees participated in a food drive for families of New Iberia.

 

Oct. 11, 2009

Employees sold more than 200 seafood stuffed potatoes and 200 quarts of gumbo at their booth at the New Iberia Gumbo Cook-Off. Profits went to the store’s adopt-a-school.

A group of employees from Super 1 Foods in New Iberia worked at the phone bank for the MDA at the Labor Day Telethon in Lafayette.
