October 31, 2011

Safe Halloween – 9th Annual event for kids held at Le Vieux Village. Super 1 employees with the help of the City of Opelousas Tourism Dept. offered a safe environment for children to trick or treat. Super 1 volunteers worked for over seventeen hours.

High School Football Marketing Campaign – Super 1 partners volunteered to assist throwing footballs to the crowd before the game and during halftime.

August 6 - 7, 2011

School Supply Drive – Super 1 partners assisted with the annual back to school drive for needy school children in the area that need school supplies.

 

July 30 – 31, 2011

Snow Cone Sale – All proceeds from the sale of snow cones were used to buy much needed school supplies for area children.

Park Vista Leap Results – In celebration of Leap results the Park Vista school children were treated to a special afternoon outdoors event.

Park Vista Sports Day – Partners from Super One volunteered to assist Park Vista School with their annual Sports Day.  They helped with games and snacks.

Relay for Life – Volunteers from Super One walked from 6 am – 6 pm.  All proceeds from Relay benefited the American Cancer Society. They volunteered over 70 hours.

Teacher Appreciation Cookout – Partners grilled burgers for all the teachers thanking them for their hard work this past school year.

Susan Komen Race – Partners participated in the annual Susan Komen Race. They passed out fruit and Super 1 items to participates and donated over 33 hours to Relay for Life.

Park Vista Mardi Gras Parade Adopted School – Partners assisted Park Vista Elementary School with their Mardi Gras Parade. Total of 16 hours was donated.

Acadiana Zydeco - The local Boys and Girls were treated to a King’s Cake from Super 1 Foods.

Read Across America – Volunteers from Super 1 Foods visit Park Vista Elementary School and read the students. 14 hours was volunteered to the school.

Tailgate Party – Both Super 1 locations in Lafayette hosted a tailgate party at the University of Louisiana in the parking lot. They gave out samples of food, threw out Super 1 footballs and had a great time.

Miles Perret Canter Games of Acadiana – Games of Acadiana was held in the Cajundome and helps raise money for Miles Perret Canter Hospital. The money that was raised was donated to the cancer center. Partners donated many hours to assist with the games.

 

June 20, 2010 Leap Test – Partners adopted Park Vista Elementary School for the year and the students that passed the Leap Test were given 2 hours of activities to participate in.  They provided snow cones for the students and assisted with games.

 

May 14, 2020 Sports Day – Partners donated 48 hours of their time to assist with Sports Day at Park Vista Elementary School.  The students were rewarded sports day.  Partners helped with races and passed out water.

Employees helped put together a teacher appreciation cookout at Park Vista Elementary, the store’s adopt-a-school.

 

May 12, 2010 Teacher Appreciation Cookout – Partners grilled hamburgers for the faculty and staff at Park Vista Elementary.  They donated over 25 hours of their time.


May 5, 2010

The store helped with “Sports Day” at a local school by supplying helpers for relay and sack races and other contests. Employees also served snow cones for fourth graders, who had taken the LEAP exam.
