Oysters for Thanksgiving!
In our part of the country, Thanksgiving has a southern flair, but it's a safe bet that the original Thanksgiving Dinner featured more native cuisine. You'd have probably seen some wild turkey, but you'd have also found venison and rabbit on the table.
And dressing would likely have contained oysters—and indeed, in Massachussettes, Virginia and other New England states, oyster dressing is a traditional favorite! This Thanksgiving, give a nod to tradition and try some oyster dressing!
