Pet Rocks
Straight out of the 1970s, here's an idea to provide fun for your youngsters on hot summer days.
Make pet rocks! Find a rock about the size of a child's fist and wash it. Paint it and let dry. Paint on a face, or glue on wiggly eyes. Glue on yarn for hair and anything else you may have around the house.
To simplify this, your child can decorate a rock with stickers or markers. It's a great way to create memories—pick up a rock from places you visit, and bring it home to make a pet!
