Here’s an easy fruit salad that is healthy for the whole family and fun to make! Young children can use a plastic knife to avoid sharp edges.
Red White And Blue Fruit Salad
A Brookshire’s Best Recipe
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup lime juice
1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced
3 apples, peeled and cut into small chunks
3 cups fresh blueberries
In a large bowl, whisk together the lime juice and honey. Add all of the fruit and toss gently to combine. Let the fruit salad set for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Note: You can use frozen fruit instead of fresh, but as it thaws, it may get very juicy, and the colors may run.
Remember food safety! Wash all food with water before using and wash your hands as well!
