Rose Care Tips
Super 1 Foods florists know how to make roses look extra-spectacular! Once you get them home, though, there are some ways you can keep them looking their best.
- If you receive your roses in water tubes, remove them before arranging.
- Remove any leaves that will be under the water line.
- Re-cut stems 1 to 2 inches with a sharp knife.
- Immediately after re-cutting, place roses in a clean deep vase of water containing flower food provided in your bouquet.
- Check the water daily and make sure to keep it full, clean and fresh.
- Add a penny or two to the vase of water. The metals in the coin release oxygen.
- Keep your roses in a cool place, out of direct sun and hot or cold draft.
