This month's web recipe is Stovetop Tuna Casserole. Most casseroles like this use a can of creamy soup—cream of mushroom, cream of chicken or something like that.

Save a few cents by not buying the can of soup. Instead, make your own creamy sauce! It's as simple as blending 2 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons flour and whisking in a cup of milk. You can have that ready sooner than you can open the can!

And when you're buying a can of tuna to use, think about using white albacore tuna. The other tuna—light tuna—is a bit cheaper, but white tuna has 3 times the Omega 3 fatty acids. That's what makes tuna so good for your heart! The cost difference is just a few cents and since you're making your own creamy sauce, you'll come out just about even!
