A great scrapbook starts with great pictures. Not only do you want sharp, vibrant pictures for your scrapbook, but also interesting, engaging shots that help you tell a story.
Here are some picture-taking ideas that will make your scrapbook fun and memorable.
Up Close and Personal: Often times we overlook small things, but by moving in you can capture a whole new world. Close-up pictures of items add interest to your scrapbook and help you remember the details.
Emotions and Feelings: Try to get photos that capture the feeling of the moment. Sleepy children, slumping adults, and squealing babies—they all communicate perfectly!
Smile for the Candid Camera!: Nothing’s more boring and predictable than a line of people standing with their arms hanging at their sides. Take advantage of your surroundings and interact with what is at hand. Again, this is part of telling the story!
Food Feature: Food is such a fun part of traveling and gatherings. Take pictures of the food you eat and the restaurants you visit. Zoom in on the plate or capture your friends enjoying their goodies.
Signs of the Times: Look for signs around the area you are visiting. They will also help tell the story and help scrapbook viewers understand when the scenes change. If there aren’t any signs, try making your own. Write in the sand or even on a piece of paper and have someone hold it.
