Family Fitness Day / NuVal Awareness – Partners from around Shreveport assisted in the first Family Fitness Day. They gave out fruit and water to participants and introduced them to the NuVal program.

Trunk or Treat - Event was held at Elvis Lodge in Shreveport and partners from our Super 1 Shreveport Barksdale location assisted in the annual trunk or treat handing out candy to the kids.

Out of Darkness – Suicide Prevention Walk – Partners from our Shreveport Barksdale Super 1 volunteered for eighteen hours during the walk.

Susan Komen Race for the Cure – Super 1 Foods is a proud sponsor of the annual Race for the Cure. All proceeds benefit the breast cancer research. Partners from area Super 1 stores participated.

Battle of the Border Football Game – Annual event held each year and many Super 1 partners volunteered to assist in the distribution of promotional items.

MDA Telethon – Annual event held at the Bass Pro Shop in Shreveport. Many Super 1 partners volunteered to assist answering phones and taking pledges.

Port City Classic Football Game – Many Super 1 volunteers grilled and served fans that were coming to the game.

Stoner Hius Neighborhood Clean Up – Partners from the Super One on Shreveport Barksdale assisted with the neighborhood clean up across the street from the store. The donated their time and drinks for the day.

Adkins Branch Library Summer Carnival – Partners volunteered over 30 hours for this event. They served hot dogs, chips, drinks and cake.

Mother’s Day Cake Decorating – Partners volunteered to assist the children with decorating a cake for their mother for Mother’s Day.

Special Olympics – The event was held at Lee Hedges stadium and partners from all Shreveport Super One and locations volunteered to assist the participants.

Easter Egg Hunt – Partners from our Waggoner and Jewella stores partnered with the American Legion for a Easter Egg Hunt for children in the community. They passed out balloons, stickers and water.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure – Over 175 partners participated in the annual Race for the Cure held the CenturyTel Center.

MDA Telethon – All Shreveport Super 1 stores participated in the MDA Telethon. Partners donated their time to assist with the phone bank and taking donations for this annual event.

Nearly 50 Super 1 Foods employees from Bossier City and Shreveport Super 1 Foods stores participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Many served drink mixes, breakfast bars, and some 2,000 samples of Supreme Blend frozen dessert.
