Slip, Slop, Slap, Wrap!

Slip, Slop, Slap, Wrap!School's in session, so as you start thinking about fall and cooler temperatures, you might be tempted to put away the sunscreen.

Two problems: it's still hot outside, and it's always important to protect your skin from the sun's burning rays. You can receive skin damage even in the dead of winter!

After-school events can expose everyone to lots of sun danger, so don't let your guard down! Keep sunscreen in the tote bag, in the car and always ready.

The  American Cancer Society has a new slogan to keep sun protection on your mind—and it's easy to remember:

SLIP! SLOP! SLAP! WRAP!

  • Slip on a shirt
  • Slop on 15 SPF (or higher) sunscreen
  • Slap on a hat
  • Wrap on sunglasses
