A Brookshire's Best Recipe
Butter sauce:
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 Tbs Mexican salsa
Shrimp:
2 lb fresh shrimp, in the shell
3 cups beer
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp celery seed
2 tsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce (or to taste)
Mix the butter and salsa together in a small bowl and set aside.
Combine all of the ingredients (but not the butter sauce ingredients) in a large kettle. Mix well and bring to a boil. Once the kettle comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer 4 minutes, until shrimp are pink.
Drain the shrimp and serve on a large platter with the butter sauce.
