The Football Five
It's football season! Whether you watch the college, professional, high school or pee wee league games, it's fun to cheer for your favorite team—and munch on a few snacks.
If you're trying to eat healthier, though, football games present challenges. All of the traditional halftime snacks are danger zones for healthy eating.
What to do instead? Bring along some snacks from the produce aisle. If you're watching the game at someone's house, you can bring anything—a veggie tray and chilled dip, baked spinach-artichoke dip and crackers or even a seven-layer salad.
If you're sitting in the stands, though, your choices will be a bit more limited. You'll need to bring choices that can stand up to several hours at room temperature, and not require utensils for eating.
