The New YorkerOur customers are generally from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Their idea of a great sandwich might be pulled pork or barbecue beef.

 

Some of the combinations popular up north, though, offer an interesting change of pace. New York delis are known for meats and salads that folks out here may not have even heard of!

 

If you're interested in trying something new, take a look at this sandwich called The New Yorker. You'll find everything you need at your local Brookshire's store, but what you put on your plate will be out of this world!

 

 

 

The New Yorker Deli Sandwich

A Brookshire's Best Recipe

 

Ingredients:

3- 3 oz slices sliced pastrami

2 slices Pumpernickel bread

1 Tbs Dijon mustard

Dill pickle slices

Yellow onion slices

2 Tbs cole slaw

 

Directions:

Spread Dijon mustard on both slices of Pumpernickel bread. Add the meat and top with dill pickle, yellow onion and cole slaw. Don't forget the napkins!
