Tiny Treats

Tiny TreatsAre you still trying to take off those extra pounds you gained over the holidays? All that snacking and eating took its toll, that's for sure! As you think about your next gatherings—football game parties, maybe—it's time to think SMALL.

Little bits of wonderful foods can be every bit as satisfying as huge platefuls. And besides—fixing smaller quantities also helps save money!

Here are a few ideas for smaller treats for that next gathering:

  • Bake a batch of brownies, but cut them into tiny squares—or use a cookie cutter.
  • Serve meatballs, but make them mini-meatballs, and serve on dinner rolls instead of hoagie buns.
  • Make sandwiches from party rye bread, and sliders on dinner rolls.
  • Cut steak into cubes and skewer. Grill and have reduced portions that still taste great.
  • Chicken nuggets with dipping sauce instead of chicken cutlets.
