Washing Produce
When buying fresh produce, do you always wash it before you eat? Well if not, you should and if you do wash it, way to go!
When bringing fresh produce home do not immediately begin to wash it; you should wait to wash it for right before you eat it.
When you wash produce days before using it this will allow the product to ruin much faster. When you are scrubbing off the germs and pesticides you are also scrubbing off the produces' protective layer.
With produce that has a rough skin, like potatoes, you can use a vegetable brush to wash it off.
