What is BMI?
A lot of people talk about BMI but what is BMI? BMI is body mass index; it is an assessment tool that takes weight and height into consideration.
To find your BMI take your weight in pounds divide it by height in inches squared. Once you get that number multiply it by 703.
A healthy range for BMI is 18.5 to 24.9, if your BMI ranges from 25-29.9 that is considered overweight and if your BMI is greater than 30 than that is considered obese.
If your BMI concerns you talk to your doctor about possible weight loss. Take into consideration that BMI is not a one size fits all formula.
