Hope Lion’s Club Auction – Two partners brought items to the stage and would help spot for bidders and help with anything else that needed done. The was the 63rd year for this and all the money goes to help buy Christmas baskets for the families in need in Hempstead County. They volunteered for twenty-five years.

American Heart Association Relay for Life – Fourteen partners spent over one hundred hours preparing for their annual Relay for Life event sponsored by the American Heart Association. They donated their time by serving food and hosting silent auctions and drawings to benefit the organization.

Hope Boosters – Super 1 Foods presented a check for $1,000 to the Hope Boosters during the halftime of the football game.

Hope Watermelon Festival – Partners volunteered for 40 hours during the Watermelon Festival weekend. They volunteered to hand out water during the race, sliced watermelons during the festival and sponsored the VIP tent during the David Nail concert.

Rainbow of Challenges – Five partners cooked and served hot dogs during their end of the school festival for 20 hours.

Cake Decorating – Four partners volunteered for 16 hours to assist students at local elementary schools with decorating cakes for Mother’s Day.

Relay for Life – 17 partners volunteered for eighty-four hours during the annual event. They set up a booth and walked the track.

Lion’s Club Fish Fry – The event was held at the University of Arkansas and two partners assisted with cooking and serving for eight hours. Afterwards, a partner volunteered for two hours to clean the fish fryers.

JA Fruit Loop Run and Nutrition Fair – Six partners volunteered to serve fruit and water and handed out nutritional information to students for 18 hours.

American Heart Association Relay for Life – Fifteen partners volunteered to set up a tent, walk during the night and sold sandwiches with all proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association.

Amtrak Station Grand Opening – Partners cooked over 750 hot dogs and handed out water and other foods for the grand opening of the Amtrak Station in Hope.

Health Fair – Super 1 Foods along with J A of Hope held a Health Fair for children. Participants were told about NuVal and partners played games with them. Two partners volunteered for 16 hours.

Watermelon Festival – 36th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival drew over 50,000 people during the three-day event. Partners volunteered to assist with the 5K run, watermelon slicing and worked at the VIP tent during the concert.

Pet Adoption – Partners helped sponsor a pet adoption day in the stores parking lot. Five dogs and three cats found new homes.

Relay for Life – 34 partners from the store participated in the all night walk. They set up a tent and participated in various activities and volunteered for 131 hours.

5K Run/Children’s Health Fair – Seven partners volunteered for 28 hours at the run and health fair. They set up a booth and did a bean bag toss and each hole represented a different fruit. Each time they hit the hole they were told the NuVal score of the fruit and given a prize.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure – Partners from the store volunteered to assist at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Texarkana. They walked, ran and assisted at the booth. All proceeds go towards breast cancer research.

Hope for Joplin Fundraiser – Partners assisted with a second fundraiser for Joplin tornado victims. They volunteered to drive the truck loaded with supplies to Joplin.

Hope Bobcats Game – Partners sponsored the Hope Bobcats home football game and they passed out recycling bags and megaphone before the game. They gave away a $100 giftcard.

Relay for Life – Many partners participated in Relay for Life. They set up a tent and played basketball, Plinko Board and cooked and served hot dogs. They raised over $1,048 for this event. They donated over 181 hours of their time.
