To create Stella Rosa Wines, the Riboli family chose the region of Asti, a province in Piedmont, Italy, as the source for its aromatic grapes, which have become the hallmark for the Stella Rosa style of wines. The area of Asti has particular significance to the family, as it is the birthplace of the family matriarch, Maddalena Riboli. The first Stella Rosa was Moscato D’Asti, which has become a flagship of the brand. Castillo San Simon Airen Moscato - 750 ml, $3.98

This wine has a bright pale gold color. An intense and attractive fruit aromas of peaches, citrics and flowers. It tastes light and juicy on the palate, full of fruity flavors and a luscious sweet finish. For this white wine, we obtain the Must by straining, without any pressure, and they undergo static racking. Once they are perfectly clean they are fermented at a temperature of 18ºC. Stella Rosa Peach Semi-Sweet White Wine is a proprietary blend produced primarily from the Moscato grape with various other varietals. The addition of a custom, proprietary blend of natural peach flavors makes this truly unique. The grapes are harvested, pressed, centrifuged, and then held cold as juice at 28 degrees Fahrenheit. The juice is fermented at various intervals throughout the year allowing the wine to remain fresh and delicate. During fermentation process, the alcohol is created in tandem with the wine’s natural carbonation. Once the desired sweetness is achieved, the wine is centrifuged and bottled.
