Layer Cake Primitivo, Puglia - Italy, 2007 - 750 Millilitre , $16.98

a.k.a. Zinfandel. Puglia - Indicazione Geografica Tipica. One hundred percent pure. My old grandfather made and enjoyed wine for 80 years. He told me the soil in which the vines lived were a layered cake. He said the wine, if properly made, was like a great layer cake, fruit, mocha and chocolate, hints of spice and rich, always rich. Never pass up a layer cake, he would say. I have always love those words. - A. Orlando. Selected by Pure Love Wines. Alcohol 13.5% by vol. Product of Italy.

Stella Rosa Black, Semi Sweet - 1500 Millilitre , $24.98

To create Stella Rosa Wines, the Riboli family chose the region of Asti, a province in Piedmont, Italy, as the source for its aromatic grapes, which have become the hallmark for the Stella Rosa style of wines. The area of Asti has particular significance to the family, as it is the birthplace of the family matriarch, Maddalena Riboli. The first Stella Rosa was Moscato D’Asti, which has become a flagship of the brand. Soon after, Stella Rosa Rosso was created – the brand’s first semi-sweet, semi-sparkling red wine blend, and first wine of its kind to be brought to America from Asti. The rapid phenomenal successes of these two wines began the lineage of Stella Rosa, which now boasts over 35 distinctive flavors.

Stella Rosa Wine, Blueberry, Semi-Sweet - 25.4 Fluid ounce , $10.47

Stella Rosa Blueberry Semi-Sweet Red Wine is a proprietary blend of several red grape varietals. The wine is combined with natural flavors of natural blueberry distillates & purée. The grapes are harvested, pressed, centrifuged, and then held cold as juice at 28 degrees Fahrenheit. The juice is fermented at various intervals throughout the year allowing the wine to remain fresh and delicate. During fermentation process, the alcohol is created in tandem with the wine’s natural carbonation. Once the desired sweetness is achieved, the wine is centrifuged and bottled. Its natural acidity and low pH strike the perfect balance with the wine’s inherent sweetness. It is not cloying or heavy. Serve chilled by-the-glass, pour over ice, or mix with your favorite spirit for an all natural, fruit-forward cocktail.
