Brookshire Grocery Co. Donation Campaign Raises $100,000 to Support Hill Country Flood Relief
TYLER, Texas, Aug. 1, 2025 – Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) and its customers have raised $100,000 to support the communities impacted by the devastating floods in Central Texas.
Throughout July, customers and employee-partners at Brookshire’s, Super 1 Foods, Spring Market, and FRESH by Brookshire’s stores in Texas donated to the flood relief campaign by adding $1, $3, $5 or $10 donation coupons to their purchases at checkout. The company also contributed to the donation to further support each benefiting organization.
All proceeds raised will benefit the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and TEXSAR (Texas Search and Rescue). Both groups have helped provide critical aid to those affected by this tragedy.
“Our thoughts and prayers remain with those who were affected by this devastating natural disaster,” said Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO of Brookshire Grocery Co. “It was important to our company to step up and help our Texas neighbors during this critical time. We are proud to be able to donate $100,000 to the victims and their families and hope it makes a meaningful difference to those affected.”

Brookshire Grocery Co. Launches In-Store Initiative for Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts

Brookshire Grocery Co. is launching a relief campaign for customers to donate to the American Red Cross for people who are affected by Hurricane Ida. Through Sept. 14, all Brookshire’s, Super 1 Foods, Spring Market and FRESH by Brookshire’s stores will have $1, $3, and $5 coupons available for customers to make monetary donations at checkout. The donations will go to the American Red Cross relief efforts for those affected by the hurricane. “Our hearts and prayers go out to those in Louisiana and Mississippi who are being affected by Hurricane Ida,” said Brad Brookshire, Brookshire Grocery Co. Chairman and CEO. “Our Company is dedicated to giving back and supporting our communities and people. A year ago, we stood by our customers, friends, and neighbors to recover from Hurricane Laura, and we will do it again. I know that with our customers’ support we can make a significant impact on relief efforts.” Brookshire Grocery Co. is deploying its “Community Kitchen” and a team of employee-partners to serve free hot meals to people who are affected by Hurricane Ida in the Southeast Louisiana area. In the Super 1 Foods store parking lot at the store in New Roads, a team will be served burgers and sausage on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, September 1 at 7:30 a.m. we will be serving a hot breakfast. BGC’s top priority is safety of our employee-partners and customers. In commitment to that, our team will continue to uphold strict COVID-19 protocols in our stores and while providing relief efforts in the community. BGC employee-partners will wear gloves and masks while providing contactless service in the drive thru lines at the Community Kitchen site. The company encourages people without vehicles to practice social distancing and wear masks or facial coverings when receiving a meal.
