Before us were lush vineyards of the Lujan de Cuyo region. To the west, the spectacular snow-capped peaks of the Andes. To the north the broad river valley from the Mendoza River. It's near perfection, and we couldn't resist. The result is a Malbec that exudes dark fruit, spice, and toasty oak that leads into a round mid-palate and long finish. Delicious. Alc. 14.3% by vol. Originally, the grapes were sourced from the vineyards surrounding the winery, but nowadays, our winemakers choose the best terroirs for each variety to elaborate these outstanding wines. The ultra-premium Broquel range shows fruit concentration at its best. The grapes were hand harvested in the last week of March from high-altitude vineyards of over 15 years of age. After a careful elaboration process including a long maceration, the wine aged in oak barrels during 15 months. The wine shows a beautiful balance of ripe tannins and a long finish.
