Deep Dark Chocolate Monster Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup dark cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp espresso powder 1 tsp espresso powder 1 tsp espresso powder
1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
1 1/4 cups Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Candies
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugars.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, espresso powder and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, a little at a time.
- Mix well.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and the candies.
- Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Use a 1 1/2-inch scoop to place the dough on the cookie sheets.
- Gently press extra candies into the top of the cookies, if necessary to see more of the decorations.
- Bake for 12 to 13 minutes.
- Let cool on the cookie sheets for 10 minutes.
