Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries
decorative skewers
2 tsp sugar
1 bottle sparkling wine
Directions
  1. Pick out 4 medium-sized strawberries. Using a paring knife, slice each of the 4 strawberries in half from top to bottom. Remove the stem and leaves by trimming around the center, top and sides of the strawberry halves to create a heart shape. Place the "hearts" on skewers.
  2. Puree the remaining destemmed strawberries in a blender or food processor with the sugar. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve. Add 2 tablespoons of juice to the bottom of each glass, and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with the strawberry skewers.
  3. TIP: Add one small chunk of dry ice into the bottom of each glass for a "love potion" effect. Do not ingest dry ice or allow it to touch skin. Wait until it has fully evaporated before sipping the drink.
